We went by bus to Lookout Farm. We went to pick apples. When we first arrived it was cool, then it was sunny. We went to the  play area. We saw ponies and Emus. Our class rode on a train. Some of us went into the bouncy house. We had our picture taken on the haystack. Many of the children climbed the rock wall. A few of us went into the beehive house. Ten of us went into the maze. We saw goats and donkeys. We picked a lot of apples. Our bags were full. We ate some of our apples on the way back to school.
Two of our classmates did not make the field trip to the orchard. We had a wonderful time at the orchard.

Stay tuned for stories and pictures of our apple picking fieldtrip.

Our Davis School

We took photographs of people and places around Davis School. We used these photographs to make a voice thread to tell short stories about our school.

We Are Thankful!

We wrote about and illustrated those things we are most thankful for in our lives.  We have put those thoughts and images into a voice thread.  We hope you enjoy it!

Readers’ Forum

Families,  I have just added a new page to our blog, Readers’ Forum. This page is a place for students and their families to share the titles of their favorite books and the names of their favorite authors.  I look forward to seeing the list of titles grow.

Welcome 233 Families

You found it!  Take a look around and let me know what you think.  Do you have any ideas of what you would like to see us share with  you here?  We look forward to hearing from you!

A Visit to Cattail Corner

Houston 001Tuesday was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and the air was mild.  Our class made our fall visit to Cattail Corner to observe the seasonal changes that are occuring.

We took along the digital cameras and Mrs. Collins.  Each student took several photographs of something they thought they would like to add to their Cattail Corner Journal.  Once we returned to the classroom, they had to select one of their photos to keep and delete the rest of them.

Soon, we will post our photos along with our observations for you to enjoy.  We hope that  you will share your thoughts about our skill as photographers.
